A Hidden Gem in Durham! I visited Tin of Sardines a couple of days ago, and I’m still thinking about what an absolutely beautiful and aesthetic place it is! From the charming interiors to the cozy, welcoming atmosphere, it’s the kind of spot you instantly fall in love with. A special shoutout to Manan, who was my server — he truly made the experience memorable. He suggested the perfect drink (which I ended up loving!), took the time to chat with me, and made sure I felt comfortable and well looked after throughout my visit. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality these days, and his warmth really stood out. If you're in Durham and looking for a place with character, great drinks, and even better vibes, don’t miss this one. Can’t wait to go back!
This is the smallest bar in Durham, but there are 100s of different gins to choose from. Although it's small in there, it feels like there is plenty of room and the staff do a great job of making you feel welcome. The atmosphere is fantastic and I definitely recommend this place if you're in the area.

Do not be distracted by the name. It may be indeed small but it hides a large selection of gin! The charming interior really takes you back to another era and it definitely looks better than the inside of a tin! Every gin lover needs to pay homage to this place!

This is a must for gin lovers and it is the smallest pub in Durham. It is a busy location with a lovely atmosphere and on a sunny day it is the perfect place to visit. This is certainly a place to put on your visiting list. Photos taken in August 2019.
Great place to grab some steak and enjoy a cocktail by the elvet bridge with views on the cathedral. Highly recommended good atmosphere and affordable.
